Sol Paradise is a multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter. Day-to-day at Redchurch Street, he's known as Jonah, where he works on his time away from the music scene at our Shoreditch store.
His music floats between alternative, jazz, funk and neo-soul, exploring themes around relationships, the beauty of nature and the climate crisis. His newly released EP 'In the Garden', deals with ideas of the mental health benefits of time spent outdoors. Picked as Spotify’s official ‘Fresh Find of the Month’, Jonah teamed up with climate charity Music Declares Emergency for the project’s first single ‘Earth’.
When we asked him about his new EP and it's natural themes he told us: “Nature is the common denominator in what people consider beautiful - a unifying cause. Music tastes differ, people’s politics have never been more polarised, but everyone appreciates the same landscapes. We as artists need to incorporate environmentalism into our work as much as we can to help spread that message.”
