The Walking Portrait is an ongoing series looking at London neighbourhoods and the characters that exist within them. Following Bloomsbury, Soho & Notting Hill comes the turn of Shoreditch feat. Secretsundaze aka Giles Smith and James Priestley.
Secretsundaze have marked themselves out as one of the most distinct, vital and consistent voices in dance music over the last two decades. From their original, celebrated parties in Shoreditch, to their international DJ sets and their highly regarded record label.
As long time Folk fans, their style, skills & character make them the perfect guide through this dynamic and transformed pocket of East London. From an arts led nighttime economy to a retail orientated daytime economy the streets of EC2 and E2 are almost unrecognisable from their mid 90s warehouse heyday.
