This season we look close to home, finding new ways to appreciate the familiar and exploring the things directly around us. Inspiration comes from the colour, texture & pattern of domestic interiors - old & new, with a particular appreciation of the textiles, objects & furnishing around us.
We even shoot our seasonal campaign in the local city that shaped the Folk aesthetic and state of mind - Glasgow. From Charles Rennie Mackintosh architecture to 1970s sports stadia to Georgian West End homesteads.
The season is under pinned with a typical positive, life affirming Folk observation and plea - Come Together. In every way, for all our benefit, come together kind folk.
To the clothes of course, we have developed new fabrications and palettes which combine style and comfort. Without these we are not Folk. Note the angular blocking and linear panelling details, a constant in our recent collections; the Curve story this season is a new take on this notion, but using softer, organic shapes and forms. The Assembly story branches into knitwear to complete its position as the core of the Men's collections. Drop for the new cord this season before it goes.
The colour palette is formed of seasonal pigmented tones of cyan, copper and mustard. We’ve utilised highs and lows of each colour across the different categories to give depth and variation. Grounding neutrals like Tan, Natural and Olive give a rich, earthy and warm feeling to the range. Our colours are on point.
We hope you enjoy the collection as much as we did designing and shooting it; these clothes gently lift the spirits whilst the world carries on grumbling.
